My Story

Behind the Words

I'm a 25-year-old aspiring multilingual journalist from India with experience in E-media and documentary film production. I have pursued diverse qualifications, ranging from journalism to commerce and travel management. Opportunities learned through international travel and internship experiences have created a strong foundation for a career in multimedia journalism. My current study focuses on the University of Cincinnati course, allowing for an in-depth understanding of statistics, research, and my passion for representing sustainability and people. Hearing stories from people from all walks of life is a driving factor in my pursuit of a journalism career.

Life of a Competitive Gymnast.

Ronnell Spears, 18 is a high school gymnast studying at William Mason High School. Since the age of 9, he has been participating new number of Gymnastic competition and representing many young black boys in the face of competitions such as Junior Olympic National Championships, & Blaine Wilson's Gym 'Integrity'. In the article written for Cincinnati Herald he talks about his schedule, challenges, and dreams.

The World Down Syndrome Day celebrated by an African American community.

African American Down Syndrome Family is affiliated to a bigger organization, The Greater Cincinnati Down Syndrome Association who branch from the Down Syndrome Association present around the United States of America. Every year African American Down Syndrome Association, who as the name suggest are inclusive of several people of Black community caring for their Down Syndrome loved ones. In the article written for the Cincinnati Herald, members of African American Family Network talk about the experiences that brought them together, and educating us on the topic of Down Syndrome. On 21 March, they celebrated The Down Syndrome day, but unlike previous years the ongoing Covid19 Pandemic made them select a different approach this year. The circumstances made them sad, but didn't hamper their spirits certainly.

Career Milestones

The Hindu: Pre-Journalism experience 2017

The Hindu is A reputable newspaper in Mumbai, India. During the brief experience I learned to read newspaper regularly. Figure out potential news to follow up, procure sources for stories, and spend long hours learning the works of a Journalist.

Enquirer: Student Correspondent

Fall 2020, Cincinnati Enquirer provided me and my colleagues a wonderful opportunity to speak to voters at several voting polls for presidential election. Twitter was our medium for reporting.

Cincinnati Herald: Internship

In Spring 2021 under the scholarship of Seasongood Foundation granted to University of Cincinnati Journalism Department. Currently employed at Black niche news agency, providing my service as a writer, and weekly podcast guest. During this period learned skills to write profile stories, photography, interviewing, administration skills, and staying updated on current news.

iQ4 Threat Within: Cybersecurity Course Certificate for A&S Students

As a Cyber Intern, I performed as Behavioral Analyst Officer and helped my team detect behavioral patterns of espionage cyber threat, and worked to create an environment to ensure security of essential data for registered customers against any data theft.
After spending 150 job training hours on the course, received industry recognized credentials.
